Lasagna

If you grew up in Italy, your mother's lasagna was hanging on a wall with a sign "In case of emergency break glass.."

But enough with the sweet memories and let's tackle the etymology conundrum.

"Lasagna" comes from Latin "Laganum" from Greek "Laganon" meaning "Soft". The Romans were the first ones to bake a thin sheet made out of flour that was used as base for their meat.

Interesting fact; the Borbon King Francis the second, had such a passion for it, he was nicknamed "Re Lasagna" ( the Lasagna King).

That's it for today, I got hungry and I have to look for a hammer..
