Ballare

It's a Latin word (used also in Italian) that means "to dance". It's the reason of English words like "Ball room" and "Ballet".

"Ballo" in Italian translates the English noun "Dance".

Interesting Italian expressions with the word "Ballo" are :"Tirare in ballo"(meaning "To bring

up something"), "Essere in ballo"("To be at stake"), and "Entrare in ballo""To enter into" as in "A lot of factors enter into this...".

Now that you know, dance like nobody is watching..(meglio..).

Pier Giorgio.
