Bruschetta

Updated: Aug 28, 2020

Grilled bread topped with olive oil, tomato and salt; now let's analyze the pronunciation.

The digram "CH" is pronounced "K"(we are missing the letter "K" in the Italian alphabet), therefore the word "Chi" (Who) sounds like "Key"in English.

So, don't forget this rule while you are ordering "Bruschetta" (often mispronounced "Brusheda") and "Gnocchi"(Dumplings) at your favorite Italian restaurant.

That's it for today, I would like to stay longer on this topic but I've gotten hungry.

Buon appetito!

Pier.
