It's complicated.

Like the modernist poet Wallace Stevens (1879-1955) said "Everything is complicated"; so let's try to make it easier with this post :)

The word "Complicated" ("Complicato"in Italian) derives from the Latin verb "Cumplicare";

it's a combination of "Cum"(With) plus "Plicare" meaning "To fold together".

Basically, if something is folded it is more complicated than something that appears to be flat.

That's it for today (short but intense). Time to go, the day doesn't look so flat..
