Quarantine

“Quaranta” in Italian means “Forty”. The term "Quarantine" derives from the 40 days of isolation required for the passengers and crew of ships during the plague period (1500-1600).

A yellow flag was used to communicate the state of emergency on board (the ‘Q” flag) but today the same flag indicates a ship free of any disease.

Besides, the number 40 is a very mystical number often used in the Bible to indicate isolation periods and much more. In Physics it's the only number in the Celsius and Fahrenheit system, indicating the same temperature (- 40).

That’s it for today. I’m going back to “Quarantena” (the Italian Quarantine..) at +40 Celsius.
