'Rhubarb" (Rabarbaro in Italian) is a plant with red stems; like always the word's etymology is fascinating.
It derives from Greek "Rha" meaning "Root" while the "Barb" part stands for "Barbarian" (because it wasn't a plant from Greece).
An other use for "Rhubarb" is a mantra that "a group of actors repeat to give the impression of a lot of people speaking simultaneously" according to the Oxford dictionary.
And that's it for today; I have to go, I hear voices coming from my orchard..
Pier.
