Speculate

In Italian "Speculare". It derives from Latin "Speculum/Specere" meaning "To watch".

It's the origin of the Italian word "Specchio" (MIrror) as well as the English adjective

"Specular" (Having the qualities of a mirror).

Words like "Spy", "Spectator", "Species","Spectrum"and "Auspice" derive from the same Latin root.

So if you see a spy at the mirror don't be a spectator..

Piero.
